About Lindsay
I love colour no matter what painting medium I’m working in. I try to capture atmosphere, space and light. Colours bounce off each other, you can manipulate emotions, I like that.
Sometimes my work is figurative, sometimes abstract. I paint, draw, film photo and sculpt, whatever feels right or is possible at the time. Sometimes I just look, there is nothing wrong with just being still and looking. People come to my classes to learn to paint, I hope I also help them to learn to look.
Education

I completed a teaching certificate to teach adults in 2002, and an online course in philosophy with Oxford University in 2005. I have now been teaching my own art classes for nine years and have given numerous talks and demonstrations to arts groups.
This website is constructed completely by me so I apologise if you see a spelling sometimes I fill the blog in in a rush. However I hope the site also gives you a good insight into me and what I think is important.
I have taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions, showing paintings, photography and video works. My paintings are owned by people around the world and anyone who has lost touch with me and owns some of my work please send me an email.
I have now worked on two public art projects. Using video, photography, slate and steel please see my blog and photo pages for updates on these. (Anstey wall and Dog Watch)
