Commissions for Watsons Restaurant

In 1999 I was commissioned to create a series of paintings for "Watsons" restaurant in Leicester. The size, content and the atmosphere required was discussed. I was given a pretty free rein and greatly enjoyed this exciting project.

There are three distinct areas - the bar, has abstract paintings, the main restaurant has large still lives and a semi-private dinning area for larger parties, has abstract landscapes. I have received many compliments and further work on the strength of these paintings.

The colour scheme of the main restaurant was to be blue and yellow, which suited me very well as I often use these vibrant colours in my work. I created paintings for a modern, sophisticated and dynamic space, the paintings are semi abstract with recognisable elements.
